The New Year has already brought us some good things. We found out that our dossier arrived in China on January 5! We are so relieved we are now past the paperwork stage of the adoption process. Soon, we should find out out log-in-date (LID) which basically is the date we are officially registered with the Chinese Center for Adoption Affairs. This date will help guide us in terms of figuring out how long our wait might be. We are still looking at around 3 years. Then, January 6th was our 8th wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe it has been that long!

Jonah celebrated his 1/2 birthday at preschool after his Christmas break since his birthday falls during the summer. Reagan and I went in for his little party. It's always a hoot watching him interact with is friends in his class. He has come home from school recently saying things like, "Mommy, you gotta do what you gotta do" and "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit." Where do they come up with these things???

Here's just a little pic of Reagan admiring her freshly manicured hands. I painted her fingernails and toenails today and she was thrilled. She can't stop looking at them and saying "Pretty!"
